Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
- The GCOO is responsible for managing and coordinating the operational functions across all hospitals and healthcare facilities within the group. The role ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial efficiency, and the highest standards of patient care.
- The GCOO plays an essential role in ensuring the operational excellence of the hospital group, fostering a culture of innovation, and delivering high-quality patient care across all facilities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the group’s mission, vision, and goals.
- Collaborate with hospital CEOs, department heads, and other executives to ensure consistent standards of care and operations.
- Lead initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction, safety, and overall hospital performance.
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all hospitals, ensuring smooth functioning of clinical and non-clinical departments.
- Monitor operational KPIs, including bed occupancy rates, patient throughput, and turnaround times for diagnostics and treatments.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining quality care.
- Work with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to manage budgets, control costs, and ensure financial sustainability.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue cycle management and optimize resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with financial and operational policies.
- Ensure all facilities meet and exceed standards for patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
- Oversee the implementation of quality improvement programs and accreditation processes.
- Monitor patient feedback and implement changes to improve care delivery.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources team to ensure effective workforce planning and talent management.
- Oversee staff training, development, and performance management to align with operational goals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Ensure all hospitals comply with healthcare regulations, standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Develop and enforce policies to minimize operational risks and ensure patient safety.
- Lead emergency preparedness planning and crisis management efforts.
- Oversee the implementation and integration of healthcare technology to enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, including electronic medical records (EMR) and telehealth solutions.
- Evaluate new technologies and innovations to improve patient outcomes and operational processes.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., hospital leaders, board members) and external stakeholders (e.g., regulatory agencies, community groups).
- Represent the group in negotiations with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Serve as a key spokesperson for operational initiatives and performance outcomes.
Job Required Skills And Qualifications
Experience & Knowledge:
- Education: At least University major in Hospital Management, Business Administration. Medical qualifications are preferred.
- Experience: At least 15 years of senior leadership experience in hospital or healthcare operations, with a track record of managing multiple facilities.
- Strong knowledge of hospital systems, healthcare regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to drive operational efficiency and improve patient care outcomes.
- Experience in financial management, strategic planning, and team leadership.
- Familiarity with healthcare technologies and digital transformation trends.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and accreditation processes.
