On 12 September, Hoan My Medical Group was honored to receive the prestigious Gold Award for “Innovation in healthcare technology”.

Incident Reporting Systems are a vital way to improve the quality of care provided to patients because they foster a culture of transparency and accountability. To ensure a best-in-class incident reporting system, Hoan My developed a new reporting and learning system (HM115). This digital platform was developed to be as user-friendly as possible. Users can report incidents anonymously and in real time using any mobile platform. 

This new reporting system was launched with a large internal campaign to promote awareness and stress the importance of fostering a transparent reporting culture across the Hoan My network of 16 hospitals and seven clinics. Employees were shown where the application could be downloaded from and how it functions, as well as given further information about the importance and benefits of a reporting culture.

The professionalism of Hoan My’s staff means that such incidents are extremely rare. But by fostering a culture of transparency, Hoan My’s employees can work together to raise patient standards and ensure that lessons are always learned for the future.

Commenting on the award, Ms Vu Kim Hoan (Group Chief Executive Officer for Hoan My Group) said: “Innovation and patient centricity have always been important touchstones for Hoan My, and we are proud that Hoan My has been recognized for utilizing new digital technology to improve accountability. This helps raise standards and shape the culture of healthcare across Vietnam.”

Hospital Management Asia (HMA) is an annual event for hospital owners, C-level executives, directors and industry leaders to exchange insights on healthcare management thinking, best practices and solutions. HMA 2019 conference was held from Sep 11 – 12, 2019 at Vietnam National Convention Center, Hanoi, Vietnam with presence of more than 1.284  hospitals Owners, Investors, CEOs, Directors, Hospital Accreditation Body Representatives. This is the third year, Hoan My consecutively received HMA awards.
