
Job Description
• Lead and oversee the pharmaceutical operations across the Hoan My system, ensuring both quality and commercial excellence.
• Develop and execute a strategic approach to medicines, vitamins, and supplements assortment, optimizing profitability and patient outcomes.
• Drive commercial results through procurement, pricing, and distribution strategies while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Enhance the quality of clinical pharmacy services to support effective medical treatment and improve patient care.
Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Administration, Management, Leadership
- Develop operating standards of pharmaceuticals and annual project-based pharmaceutical
activity plans for the whole system
- Develop and train the pharmacy team throughout the system
2. Professional work
2.1. Professional support for the Procurement Department and The Corporate Medical
Office
- Support for the procurement department of the corporation, and the medical office of the
corporation in professional pharmacy work related to the list of drugs, the list of medical
equipment, and the selection of drugs - medical consumables in bidding… Being a member
of the Association Tendering contract for drugs - medical equipment of the Group
2.2. Editor-in-Chief of Pharmaceutical Procedures
- Compilation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of Pharmacy block
- Monitor pharmacy reports from hospitals/clinics
- Chair meetings of Pharmaceutical Group once a month or irregularly when needed
2.3. Training of dean pharmacists and professional development of group pharmacists
- Train pharmacists to function as the head of the pharmacy department when required by
member hospitals/clinics
- Develop a training plan to improve the level/skills/knowledge of pharmacists
- Preside over compiling exam questions, and planning exams to assess the quality of the
pharmaceutical staff of the Group
2.4. Develop and control the pharmaceutical quality improvement plan
- Coordinate with the Deans of Pharmacy Faculty to develop goals and plans to improve the quality of pharmaceutical activities of the Group
- Guide the chief pharmacists of the pharmacy department to deal with difficult situations in drug management and drug use when needed
2.5. Support pharmacy activities in hospitals and clinics
- Promote support among Hospital Pharmacy Departments in dealing with close-to-date inventory, and expired goods, remind inventory management to minimize drug destruction
- Help the heads of pharmacy departments to implement drug management and clinical pharmacy in hospitals/clinics, improve the quality of drug use monitoring, and increase patient safety
- Instruct pharmacists to control operations at hospital service pharmacies
- Develop a training plan to improve the level/skills/knowledge of pharmacists
2.6. Responsible for pharmaceutical research projects
- Led group-level scientific research projects on Pharmaceutical Management and Clinical Pharmacy
2.7. Others
- Draft content, assign articles, and edit quarterly internal pharmaceutical newsletters of the corporation
- Participate in the annual Pharmaceutical workshop of the group
- Advise Hospital/Clinic Pharmacy Departments on professional issues
3. Support/Project
- Learn, update, and comply with labor rules, code of conduct, regulations, and procedures of the hospital
- Participate in the implementation of capacity improvement projects of the whole hospital together with other departments and divisions
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Pharmacist / Pharmacist University
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmacy management in a hospital and retail
Knowledge & Skills Professional competence: - Pharmacy warehouse management system
- Regulations on management of pharmaceutical warehouses
- Clinical pharmacy
- Research in pharmaceutical science
- Regulations on bidding and list of bids related to Pharmaceuticals
- Regulations on Vietnam health insurance related to Pharmaceuticals
