Job Summary: The Internal Medicine Nurse at Thuan My TDM Hospital is responsible for providing comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to individuals admitted to the Internal Medicine department. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The nurse will uphold professional nursing standards and contribute to a positive and safe patient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examination, medical history, and current symptoms.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to hospital policies.
  • Monitor vital signs, observe patient conditions, and accurately document all findings and interventions.
  • Provide wound care, assist with medical procedures, and manage various medical devices (e.g., IV lines, catheters).
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medication management, and discharge instructions.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
• Documentation and Communication:
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient records in accordance with hospital standards and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
  • Participate in ward rounds and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Safety and Quality:
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including infection control guidelines.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Report any adverse events or incidents promptly.
• Professional Development:
  • Maintain current nursing licensure and certifications.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training to stay updated with best practices in internal medicine nursing.
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff or nursing students as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• License: Valid Nursing License issued by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health.
• Experience: Minimum of 01 year experience in an acute care setting, preferably within an Internal Medicine department.
