JOB SUMMARY
Diagnose and treat both inpatient and outpatient pediatric cases.
Ensure the highest quality of healthcare services in line with regulations set by the Ministry of Health, hospital policies, and patient expectations.
Successfully carry out assignments and directives given by the Head of Department and hospital leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities
Weight: 90%
Strictly comply with hospital regulations, especially regarding diagnostics, medical records, prescriptions, emergency consultations, patient admissions, department transfers, discharges, medication usage, and infection control.
Conduct daily morning rounds, examine all inpatients, provide treatment orders, and give care and dietary instructions.
Re-examine patients in the afternoon and issue necessary additional treatment orders; monitor critically ill patients closely and take timely action in case of complications.
Review prescriptions, care plans, and dietary instructions daily; suspend any inappropriate interventions immediately.
Educate patients on hygiene and self-care practices.
Perform immediate examinations and prescribe treatments for newly admitted or transferred patients.
Report patient conditions and treatment progress to the Head of Department during departmental rounds.
When assigned surgeries, confirm patient readiness and ensure all pre-op preparations are complete; perform specialized procedures responsibly.
Organize and participate in intra- and inter-department consultations for critical or non-responsive cases.
Participate in inpatient duties and outpatient examinations as per schedule.
Join clinical discussions, mortality reviews, and complete discharge or transfer summaries according to hospital protocols.
Clearly explain procedures and treatments to patients.
Conduct patient education for those treated in the unit or outpatient clinics.
Fulfill on-call duties with adequate coverage and compliance with assigned hours.
Attend departmental and hospital meetings.

Job Required Skills And Qualifications
Education & Experience
Medical degree from a recognized Vietnamese or international institution.
Postgraduate qualifications: Specialist Level 1/Master's/Residency (min. 12 months in Vietnam or 6 months abroad).
At least one continuous training certificate over 3 months.
Membership in medical associations.
Clinical experience: 1 to 3 years.
Experience in facilities with 250 to 500 beds preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Medical Expertise:
Successfully complete internal skills assessments (requirement: >=80%).
Proficiency in diagnostic imaging, endoscopy, and radiology (as applicable).
Work Skills:
English proficiency at B1 level or higher.
Strong communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.
Effective planning and organizational skills.
