
Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Receive, assess, and treat critically ill patients transferred to the ICU.
Implement emergency care and stabilization measures, then coordinate care with appropriate departments.
Ensure strict adherence to hospital procedures and regulations.
Participate in training, research, and continuous improvement activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Duties
Receive and treat all critically ill or emergency patients transferred to the ICU.
Assess and classify the patient’s condition and implement appropriate emergency and critical care measures based on triage priority.
Ensure stabilization and, within 12–48 hours, coordinate with the relevant departments for further treatment if required.
Comply strictly with all hospital procedures and medical regulations.
Organize and participate in emergency responses, including off-site, mass casualty, and epidemic responses.
Provide emergency and critical care for patients in the community and coordinate their transfer to the ICU for continued care.
Perform specialized infection control procedures during examination and treatment.
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and mortality audits as requested.
Training & Research
Train and guide junior doctors and medical staff in emergency and intensive care protocols.
Participate in training programs, scientific research, and technical workshops related to intensive care and emergency response.
Engage in continuous education and stay updated on critical care best practices.
Communication & Consultation
Clearly and thoroughly explain medical procedures and treatment plans to patients and their families.
Provide clinical consultation and interpretation of diagnostics to other departments.
Address feedback and complaints from departments and patients regarding ICU care and services.
Administrative & Quality Improvement
Fully comply with Ministry of Health professional regulations and hospital policies.
Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
Participate in hospital-wide projects aimed at improving healthcare service delivery.
Propose improvements to clinical practices and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure professional and courteous conduct with patients, families, colleagues, and hospital staff.
Job Required Skills And Qualifications
Education & Qualifications
Medical degree from a recognized university (Vietnam or abroad)
Master’s degree, Level I Specialist, or completed Residency program (12+ months in Vietnam or 6+ months abroad)
Certification in Continuous Medical Education (minimum 3 months)
Active membership in professional medical associations
Experience in scientific research or published studies
Professional Skills
Successfully completed hospital or corporate competency assessments with a minimum score of ≥ 80%
Proficiency in diagnostic support techniques (Imaging, Endoscopy, Radiology)
Work Skills
English proficiency: Level B
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
