
Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Oversee the overall operation and quality of the laboratory.
Ensure the accuracy, safety, and consistency of laboratory testing and procedures.
Guide and develop laboratory staff while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Management
Lead and supervise all laboratory activities in accordance with hospital regulations.
Plan annual strategies, resources, and improvements for the laboratory.
Monitor daily operations and assign tasks to quality control and assurance teams.
Approve standard procedures and guidelines used within the lab.
Handle internal and external feedback, complaints, and requests from staff and departments.
Supervise supplier selection and quality of reference testing materials.
Ensure staff safety and establish contingency plans for uninterrupted services.
Clinical & Technical Oversight
Provide expert consultation, including result interpretation and inter-departmental support.
Sign and approve test result reports and take full responsibility for their accuracy.
Ensure proper evaluation and implementation of new laboratory procedures.
Participate in hospital consultations and support other specialties when needed.
Directly verify and approve results from doctors and technicians before delivery to patients.
Oversee infection control protocols and clinical procedures in the lab.
Training & Development
Identify training needs and recruit qualified staff.
Offer opportunities for ongoing training and professional development.
Teach and mentor junior doctors and technicians as assigned.
Contribute to scientific research and knowledge sharing within the hospital.
Administrative & Collaborative Duties
Prepare regular reports and submit to hospital leadership.
Collaborate in hospital-wide quality improvement and development projects.
Ensure compliance with labor regulations, code of conduct, and patient confidentiality.
Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with patients, guests, and staff.
Foster a cooperative and team-oriented environment across departments.
Job Required Skills And Qualifications
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Medicine from Vietnam or abroad.
First-degree specialization or residency training (minimum 12 months in Vietnam or 6 months abroad).
Continuous professional training (minimum 3 months).
Membership in medical associations.
Participation in research projects.
Skills
Complete vocational testing with a minimum score of 90%.
Hold at least two certifications in imaging, endoscopy, or radiology.
English proficiency (Level B).
Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, and planning skills.
Management Skills
Target setting, leadership, and team development.
Time management and work organization.
Conflict resolution and decision-making abilities.
