Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Head of Rehabilitation will provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for the Rehabilitation specialty across Hoan My Hospitals. This role is responsible for defining annual, mid (2-3 years) and long-term Rehabilitation strategy for the entire group, driving the development and execution of business plans, and ensuring excellence in clinical quality, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability across all Hoan My hospitals. The position will play a pivotal role in positioning Hoan My as the leading private healthcare provider in Rehabilitation in Vietnam.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Strategic Leadership

•    Define and implement the group-wide Rehabilitation strategy, aligned with Hoan My’s corporate vision and growth plans
•    Identify opportunities for Rehabilitation service development, including centers of excellence, comprehensive care models for various disease conditions (such as stroke, orthopaedics, respiratory, cardiac, etc.), and advanced therapeutic modalities
•    Monitor market trends, technologies, and clinical innovations to ensure Hoan My remains competitive and future-ready

2. Business Development & Execution

•    Develop and execute Rehabilitation business plans for short-, mid-, and long-term horizons
•    Lead the establishment and expansion of Rehabilitation services across hospitals (Physical rehabilitation, cognitive rehabilitation, speech therapy, occupational therapy, geriatric rehabilitation, paediatric rehabilitation, etc.)
•    Identify and pursue partnerships (academic, research, pharmaceutical, technological) to strengthen the Rehabilitation portfolio
•    Monitor business performance and ensure Rehabilitation services meet revenue, growth, and profitability targets
 

3. Clinical Governance & Quality

•    Collaborate with Chief Medical Officers, Hospital Directors, and Heads of Department to establish clinical pathways, protocols, and standards of care
•    Ensure compliance with national and international guidelines in Rehabilitation care
•    Champion quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based medicine initiatives in Rehabilitation
 

4. People Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

•    Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Rehabilitation leadership team across the hospital network
•    Foster collaboration between multidisciplinary teams (referring doctors, rehabilitation doctors, nurses, dieticians, pharmacists, etc.)
•    Engage key stakeholders (government bodies, insurers, patient advocacy groups, international experts) to strengthen Hoan My’s Rehabilitation reputation
 

Job Required Skills And Qualifications

Experience & Knowledge:

•    Senior Physiotherapist and/or higher qualification with clinical specialization in Rehabilitation required; advanced degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
•    Minimum 15–20 years of experience in Rehabilitation, with at least 10 years in senior leadership or strategic management roles
•   Proven track record in developing and scaling Rehabilitation services in hospital/healthcare networks
•   Strong understanding of clinical practices, business development, and healthcare economics in Rehabilitation
•   Experience in working within large healthcare organizations, preferably across multiple sites
•   Overseas working experience in reputable and established rehabilitation facilities in Australia, Singapore, Thailand, etc. preferred 
•    Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
•    Fluency in English and Vietnamese is required
