JOB PURPOSE

To perform diagnostic imaging techniques (X-ray, Ultrasound, CT Scan, MRI) to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of medical conditions for patients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and safety, thereby contributing to the quality of treatment at Thuan My TDM Hospital.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform and Interpret Diagnostic Imaging:

Perform various diagnostic imaging techniques as requested by clinical physicians, including: X-ray, ultrasound (general, obstetrics/gynecology, vascular, specialized...), CT Scan, MRI (if equipped).

Analyze, read, and provide accurate and timely diagnostic conclusions based on the images obtained.

Ensure image quality meets diagnostic standards.

Record all relevant information accurately in patient records and PACS system (if applicable).

Consultation and Clinical Support:

Explain diagnostic imaging results to clinical physicians and patients when necessary.

Participate in multidisciplinary consultations with clinical departments to establish final diagnoses and guide treatment.

Provide information and professional advice on appropriate diagnostic imaging methods.

Equipment Management and Maintenance:

Operate, maintain, and periodically inspect diagnostic imaging equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.

Promptly report any technical issues or equipment malfunctions to the Head of Department and the technical team.

Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and medical hygiene standards.

Research and Training:

Stay updated on new diagnostic imaging knowledge and techniques.

Participate in training courses and specialized conferences to enhance professional competence.

Engage in scientific research activities and quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Compliance:

Comply with all professional regulations and procedures of Thuan My TDM Hospital and the Ministry of Health.

Ensure patient information confidentiality.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Medicine (MD) with a specialization in Diagnostic Imaging. Valid practicing certificate is required.

Experience: At least 02 years of experience in a similar position at a general hospital.

Professional Knowledge:

Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and physical principles related to diagnostic imaging.

Proficient in interpreting and diagnosing X-ray, ultrasound, and CT Scans. Experience with MRI is a plus.

In-depth knowledge of radiation safety and related regulations.

Skills:

Sharp diagnostic and image analysis skills.

Clear and effective communication and counseling skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficient in using computers and specialized software (PACS, HIS).
