JOB SUMMARY
Lead and manage the hospital's Nutrition Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based nutrition services to patients.
Diagnose, assess, and manage patients' nutritional needs, including clinical nutrition interventions.
Develop department strategies aligned with the hospital’s vision, ensuring compliance with Ministry of Health standards and internal policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities
Weight: 90%
Develop and implement the department's annual operational plan in alignment with hospital goals.
Ensure all clinical nutrition activities comply with current regulations, clinical standards, and hospital protocols.
Conduct nutritional assessments and prescribe individualized nutritional therapies for inpatients and outpatients.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care, particularly for patients with chronic illnesses, ICU patients, surgical recovery, pediatric, and oncology cases.
Direct and supervise therapeutic diets and nutrition support such as oral, enteral, or parenteral nutrition.
Guide and oversee food safety and hygiene practices within the hospital, especially in the kitchen and food service areas.
Educate patients and caregivers on dietary modifications and therapeutic nutrition.
Participate in and supervise hospital nutrition campaigns and public health education efforts.
Supervise department staff, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and provide clinical guidance and mentorship.
Evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition care plans and modify them based on patient response and lab results.
Develop SOPs, treatment guidelines, and nutrition protocols in line with updated scientific evidence.
Coordinate departmental meetings, CME activities, and training sessions.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure availability and quality of nutritional products and resources.

Job Required Skills And Qualifications
Education & Experience
Doctor of Medicine with specialization or certificate in Clinical Nutrition or related field.
At least 3–5 years of experience in a clinical nutrition setting or hospital environment.
Experience managing teams and developing clinical programs.
Experience working in hospitals with 200+ beds preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Clinical & Technical Skills:
Proficient in patient nutritional assessment and creating customized diet plans.
Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy for various clinical conditions.
Skilled in interpreting lab results and integrating findings into treatment.
Leadership & Organizational Skills:
Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management capabilities.
Ability to develop departmental policies, budgets, and strategic plans.
Communication Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both medical teams and patients.
English proficiency at B1 level or above is preferred.
Technology:
Proficient in hospital information systems (HIS), EMR, and Microsoft Office tools.
