Note:
The cost of an inpatient bed is not included in the price of the delivery package service.
Cost of an inpatient bed = Bed price x Number of days in the hospital.
Bed prices are calculated according to the hospital’s price list at the time of announcement and may change at the time of admission.

HOSPITAL’S SPECIAL TERMS

When registering for the birth package, the pregnant mother transfers a deposit of 1 million VND or deposits at the hospital’s Accounting Department.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS WHEN USING THE BIRTH PACKAGE
1. Hospitalization fee
Post-operative room.
Obstetrician’s examination fee.
24/7 nursing care.

2. Tests and Diagnosis
Tests: Necessary tests for pregnant women before birth.
Imaging diagnosis: 2D ultrasound.
Electrocardiogram (ECG).
Fetal heart rate monitoring, uterine contractions (CTG).
Newborn screening tests:

• Babysure 5-disease package, dried blood sample.
• Transcutaneous bilirubin.
• Hearing screening by OAE method for babies.
• Congenital heart disease screening by transcutaneous saturation measurement.

3. Delivery/surgery room fee
Delivery/surgery service.
Consumables & Necessary equipment.
Obstetric instruments.
Anesthesia services (Anesthesia examination, pre-anesthesia drugs, pre-anesthesia room, spinal anesthesia or anesthesia, medical gases).

• Pediatrician examines newborns daily.
• Bathe and clean the newborn’s umbilical cord every day.
• Vaccinate newborns against tuberculosis and hepatitis B and inject vitamin K for newborns after birth.
• Nursing bed for newborns after surgery.
• Crib for babies (when requested).
• Perineal hygiene and surgical wound care for mothers.
• 01 set of personal items upon admission: Face towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, 01 set of newborn clothes.
• Service of picking up pregnant women to the hospital by ambulance when there are signs of labor (within 10km in Ho Chi Minh City).

SERVICES NOT INCLUDED

• Inpatient bed fees.
• Costs of blood transfusion, blood cross-matching tests, platelet transfusion.
• Additional costs incurred during the delivery/operating room and hospitalization (due to intervention by other specialties such as gynecology, cardiology, etc.).
• Treatment of post-operative complications including re-surgery due to diseases outside the birth program.
• Special care costs, if any, for newborns (to treat diseases in newborns).
• Medicines and other supplies taken home after treatment at the hospital or incurred during hospitalization outside the birth program (undertaken by other specialties such as cardiology, gastroenterology, etc.).
• Services requiring an outside doctor (at the request of the mother and relatives) to assist at Hoan My Saigon Hospital.
