JUNIOR DESIGN MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY:
Junior Design Manager is responsible for handling in-house design tasks, including conceptual design, layout planning, and 3D rendering. Additionally, the Architect is tasked with reviewing design proposals submitted by appointed consultants, supporting the team with design-related tasks, and performing quality checks during the construction stage.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take instruction from Line manager for various tasks for concept development.
- Set design directions for the development of the projects as well as critiquing and reviewing of design proposals by consultants.
- Involve in developing the Internal Design Library, Design Manual, and other OPA documents, and ensuring they are regularly updated.
- Perform audit checks/quality checks through site walk at construction sites to ensure compliance with approved drawings and design intentions.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Experience & Knowledge:
- Strong in conceptual design and creativity.
- Solid understanding of design, detailing, and the project implementation process.
- A good eye for design, with attention to both details and the overall vision when translating ideas into built form.
- Proficient in spoken and written English is prefered.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Positive working attitude with a high level of initiative and integrity.
- Ability to work effectively in demanding and multi-tasking environments.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work closely with consultants and professional peers to review, direct, and critique design proposals to achieve project objectives.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, or Revit, with the ability to produce technically accurate layouts clearly and within deadlines.
- Proficient in any 3D modeling software (preferably for Interior Design), such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, etc., and rendering platforms like V-Ray, Corona, Enscape, Lumion, D5, Unreal Engine, ensuring realistic renderings within a short turnaround time.
- Proficiency in Adobe applications and MS Office is preferred.
