HCMC, November 25, 2023 – The Hoan My Scientific and Technical Conference 2023, themed “Approach to Quality and Clinical Excellence”, took place in Ho Chi Minh City. Bringing together more than 400 leading Vietnamese and international experts, the conference shared more than 90 research articles and discussed diverse perspectives and innovation initiatives in healthcare.
The conference is an annual forum dedicated to creating a collaborative platform for professionals within and beyond the Hoan My Medical Network. Its purpose is to facilitate the sharing of knowledge, exchange of professional experience, and provide updates on the latest developments and breakthroughs in the field of healthcare. The host of this year’s conference, Hoan My Academy, is a new research and training initiative from Hoan My Medical Group established in 2023 with a mission to constantly improve the quality and efficiency of clinical outcomes.
The theme, “Approach to Quality and Clinical Excellence”, is relevant to Vietnam’s current healthcare context where healthcare needs are becoming larger and more diverse. Moreover, the government is dedicated to enhancing the quality of healthcare, particularly in specialized techniques. In this spirit, Hoan My Medical Group – the leading and largest private healthcare network in Vietnam – is pioneering investing in improving quality and clinical excellence to provide first-rate care for Vietnamese people. All these endeavors aim to address the healthcare needs of the population and contribute to positioning HCMC as a leading and reliable medical destination both domestically and regionally.
“To quickly achieve the goal of becoming the healthcare center of ASEAN, Ho Chi Minh City’s medical sector is implementing key solutions to develop specialized healthcare and improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment. In particular, the approach to quality and clinical excellence is one of the necessary efforts to help the HCMC health sector meet the increasing needs of people for healthcare in terms of quantity and quality. We appreciate Hoan My’s efforts in advancing training and research initiatives, as well as maintaining a forum for healthcare professionals to share and enhance their understanding of the latest advances in healthcare,” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tang Chi Thuong, Director of the HCMC Department of Health, shared at the conference.
Excellence in clinical care is the ability to provide high-quality healthcare services and ensure the best treatment outcomes for patients. To achieve this, excellent clinical organizations must constantly research, innovate, and stay up-to-date on medical knowledge as well as invest in advanced equipment to provide accurate, effective, and timely treatment methods for patients.
“Beyond approaching and creating standards of excellence according to international standards, Hoan My is committed to developing a Center of Excellence for the highest quality patient care,” said Dr. Dilshaad Ali Bin Abas Ali, Group CEO of Hoan My Medical Group. “Besides excellence in professional quality and facilities, Hoan My Academy is committed to investing in enhancing the capacity of medical staff and sharing these initiatives with the healthcare sector to help turn Ho Chi Minh City into the healthcare center of the region. Our vision towards 2030 is to transition from leading the medical sector to shaping healthcare culture, towards the goal to advance the health and well-being of all Vietnamese people.”
This year’s conference featured two key reports on the development of specialized healthcare in Vietnam. The first, “How to develop leadership capacity in healthcare?” was presented by Dr. Dilshaad Ali Bin Abas Ali, Group CEO of Hoan My.
