In early December 2025, Hoan My Vinh Hospital, in collaboration with Operation Smile Vietnam, the Nghe An Provincial Children Protection Fund, and with the support of the Nghe An Department of Health and the Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee, successfully organized the program “Smile Surgery 2025”, providing free screening and surgery for children with cleft lip and cleft palate in Nghe An Province.

The program took place from December 5 to December 9, 2025, aiming to offer timely treatment opportunities for children from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping them overcome congenital defects, improve their speech and communication abilities, and gain greater confidence in daily life.

During the program, medical staff from Hoan My Vinh Hospital, Operation Smile, and volunteers conducted health screenings, initial assessments, and arranged appropriate surgeries for each case. Families were also provided with detailed consultations on treatment procedures, postoperative care, and rehabilitation guidance after surgery.

Screening activities

As recorded, more than 100 children from various localities in Nghe An Province were examined during this campaign. Among them, 54 children successfully underwent surgery directly at Hoan My Vinh Hospital, bringing them a new appearance and great joy to both the children and their families. In addition, 16 cases were referred to Hanoi for further specialized surgeries to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
