Each surgery is not only a medical intervention but also contributes to improving the quality of life for children with disabilities in Nghe An. The annual community program jointly implemented by Hoan My Vinh Hospital, Zhi-Shan Foundation, and the Nghe An Children Protection Fund has continued to write a meaningful journey of bringing more complete lives to these children. Recently, the program conducted medical examinations and surgeries for more than 100 children in Nghe An.

Through local screening activities, many children were found to have musculoskeletal and external genitourinary congenital abnormalities such as club hands and feet, limb deformities (bow legs, knock knees), finger or toe contractures or syndactyly, and polydactyly. These conditions not only hinder mobility and affect physical appearance but also leave psychological impacts, making children more vulnerable to low self-esteem and lack of confidence, thereby affecting their social development and overall quality of life.

Over a two-month period, from June 6 to August 8, 2025, Hoan My Vinh Hospital implemented the surgical program for musculoskeletal, urinary, and genital abnormalities for children in Nghe An. All children who met the health requirements were examined, operated on, and followed up postoperatively directly by leading specialists in orthopedics and surgery. In addition to fully sponsored surgical costs, the program also provided support for travel expenses and donated nutritional milk, helping to further motivate and encourage the children on their recovery journey.

The program concluded with bright smiles from the children and tears of happiness from their parents. Some children were able to straighten their arms for the first time after many years of finger fusion; some now have more balanced and beautiful hands after the removal of extra fingers; others now walk more steadily and confidently, no longer limping due to O-shaped or X-shaped leg deformities. All of these outcomes open up a healthier and more complete future for these underprivileged children.

This success is the result of the close coordination of dedicated medical expertise, the long-term support of the Nghe An Children Protection Fund, and the love and sharing from the community and charitable organizations. Hoan My Vinh Hospital sincerely extends its gratitude to Zhi-Shan Foundation, the Nghe An Children Protection Fund, and all doctors and medical staff involved in the implementation of the program.

Following the successful completion of Phase 1, the program is expected to continue in order to expand treatment opportunities for more children in the area.
