Hoan My Sai Gon Hospital: 2025 Quality Improvement Review – Breakthroughs Driven by Data and Artificial Intelligence
Article Table of Contents
On December 11, 2025, Hoan My Sai Gon Hospital held the 2025 Quality Improvement Project Review Conference. The event marked new advances in hospital governance, with a strong focus on evidence-based improvement models and the controlled application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Organized annually, the conference serves as an opportunity to comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of quality improvement projects while reaffirming the hospital’s sustainable development orientation: risk-based governance as the foundation and patient safety as the highest priority.
Standardizing the Quality Improvement System from the Ground Up
In 2025, quality management activities at Hoan My Sai Gon Hospital continued to advance, with proactive participation from medical staff across departments. More than 32 projects were registered, of which 17 outstanding projects were selected for presentation in the final round.
These projects were assessed based on stringent criteria, including clearly defined and measurable objectives, methodologies aligned with the stated goals, and robust supporting data for measurement and validation. This approach reflects a strategic shift from experience-based management toward evidence-based governance.
A Dual Strategy: Big Data and Artificial Intelligence
A key highlight of the hospital’s 2025 improvement efforts was the practical implementation of two parallel strategic directions in technology and data:
1. Data-driven governance:
All improvement decisions were developed through in-depth analysis of clinical data streams, operational indicators, and patient experience data. Digitizing these indicators enables the hospital to identify priority issues early, monitor trends, and accurately assess the impact of interventions.
2. AI applications supporting patient safety:
AI technology was piloted as a powerful support tool for data analysis and risk prediction. However, Hoan My Sai Gon Hospital consistently upholds the principle that technology serves clinical practice. All AI applications are closely supervised by healthcare professionals to ensure accuracy, appropriateness, and strict compliance with safety protocols.
Highlighted Projects:
- Standardizing Department Audit Reporting Progress via Power BI Dashboard – MSc. RN. Bui Ngoc Chau – Quality Management Department.

Commitment to International Quality Standards
The projects presented at the conference demonstrated clear effectiveness in process optimization, error reduction, and improvement in treatment quality. More importantly, all changes were implemented within a comprehensive risk management framework, ensuring the highest level of safety for both patients and staff.
Through the Review Conference, Hoan My Sai Gon Hospital reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining a Continuous Improvement System (CIS). Successful models will be standardized and scaled, with the goal of building a healthcare environment that is safe, efficient, and aligned with the highest international quality management standards.
The 2025 Hospital Quality Improvement Review Conference concluded in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, filled with pride in the Hoan My Sai Gon team, continuously advancing alongside science and united by a shared mission: to elevate the quality of patient care.
